There is an all-day coach excursion each Saturday. We visit such places as Longleat, famous for its Safari Park and 16th century palace, the National aquarium and Plymouth, the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath, Cornwall, famous for its fishing villages and wild moors, and the caves at Cheddar. These excursions are an important and enjoyable part of the course, and introduce you to important parts of the British way of life, our heritage and culture, and to some of the many beautiful attractions in Devon, one of the most popular holiday destinations in England.
You will also have a half-day excursion every Tuesday afternoon. We will take you down to the coast to sunbathe or have a swim, or up onto Dartmoor for a walk in lovely countryside.
Entry fees on excursions are included in the course fees - there is no extra to pay.
London Excursion – supplement £30 GBP
We organise excursions to London every 2 weeks. Our day in London includes a guided walk to see Buckingham Palace, St James’ Park, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, followed by a river cruise from The London Eye past St Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. You will have a short time for shopping in Oxford Street. You must book your place in advance on the application form, so that we can buy the Thames boat tickets. Students who do not go on the London trip will have normal all-day excursion to visit our region.
