General English Summer Courses for Teenagers aged 14 to 17

Overview:

Teenagers aged 14-17 (with English levels: A2-C1) can join our General English Language Summer Courses. Our experienced TEFL teachers create engaging and effective lessons around topics that interest teens and helps you to improve your English! Our General English course is the ideal place to improve your English, make new friends, and have fun!

General English Course Information

Course features

  • Weekly progress tests from our expert teachers
  • Focus on communication via relevant topics and activities
  • Improvement of reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

  • An online English Language Level Test before arrival.
  • 18 hours tuition per week (18 x 60 minutes) with classes on 5 mornings and 2 afternoons
  • Maximum 12 students per class
  • Weekly progress test
  • All course materials
  • One to one personal tutorial with your teacher each week
  • An afternoon coach/train excursion on Tuesdays
  • An all day coach/train excursion on Saturdays
  • All entry fees on excursions
  • 3 supervised sports and activities afternoons on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
  • One supervised evening activity each week
  • An Isca School of English certificate and report at the end of your course
  • School identity card with 24 hour emergency contact telephone number
  • Trained staff on-site for medical emergencies

  • Full board (all meals) with packed lunch from Monday to Sunday
  • Twin room accommodation with another student of a different nationality
  • Single room accommodation may be available but cannot be guaranteed. Please ask
  • Bus pass for free travel to the city centre if your home in Exeter is more than 25 minutes’ walk from the school
  • Light laundry for machine washable clothes
  • *No two students with the same mother tongue are placed in the same home unless two friends wish to share

Supplements and transfers

  • Day excursion to London by train: £115
  • Special diet (Gluten free, Celiac, Lactose intolerance, Halal, Vegan): £8

Shared Airport Transfers:

  • Exeter: £10 each way
  • Bristol airport: £80 each way (Arrive between 12:00 – 17:00. Depart after 11:30)
  • London Heathrow: £95 each way (Arrive between 12:30 – 15:30. Depart after 14:30)
  • London St Pancras Railway station: from £190 each way (Arrive before 16:00. Depart after 15:30)

Taxi Transfers for up to 4 people:

  • Bristol airport: £195 each way
  • Heathrow airport: £360 each way
  • Gatwick airport: £380 each way
  • Stansted airport: £390 each way
  • London St Pancras Railway station: £430 each way

Unaccompanied minor (= you have paid the airline to collect your student from you at the check in desk and take them through security in your country and on arrival in the UK and out to meet our staff in the arrival terminal) – extra cost for flight home only:

The right to change your mind or “Cooling off period”. For all direct internet or telephone bookings, you are entitled to a 14 day “cooling off” period with the right to free cancellation.

We will refund in full the GBP amount received less bank charges for all cancellations received during this period. If you have used any services of the school during this period, the cost will be deducted from the repayment.

If an exam fee has been paid and the school has already paid this to the exam centre then the school will return any course fees less the exam entry fee.

A full refund of the GBP amount received, less the non refundable deposit, any exam fee paid to the exam centre, any courier fees and UK bank charges will be made.

A cancellation fee equal to one week’s tuition and accommodation plus the enrolment fee, the deposit, any exam fee paid to the exam centre, any courier fees and UK bank charges will be charged.

 

No refund will be made.

• You must pay the deposit and any courier fees before we issue our visa support letter.
• A refund is made according to our cancellation policy if the visa is refused.
• Refunds are not made if the visa has been issued.

To obtain the refund, you must return all original documents and send a copy of the visa refusal letter from the British Embassy. The Isca School will check this direct with the Embassy.

In cases where the Student is required to obtain a visa and a visa support letter has been provided, the Parent/Guardian understands that visas must be applied for immediately upon receipt of documentation from the school and that it is the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian to apply for the appropriate visa

If the visa has not arrived in time, the school will offer to postpone the course to a later date subject to availability. If the student joins the course late and the course length is no longer available, the school will refund the fees of any untaken weeks.
