Would you like to host our International Teenagers this Summer?
We are looking for host families and homestay hosts in Exeter who will give our teenage students a friendly welcome into their homes.
If you have a spare room (or two) and live near the centre or on a bus route within the city boundaries, please contact us.
A little bit about us and our lovely students
The Isca School is a British Council Accredited School located in the heart of St Leonards, a 10 minute walk from the High Street. Our English school was established in 1966 and is family-run. We know that the friendly welcome our hosts give our students is a huge part of our continuing success and we look forward to hearing from you.
Our students are aged 14 to 17 and come to study with us during their summer holidays. The majority come from Europe with some from Brazil and Uruguay too. They usually stay for two, three or four weeks. We accept school groups for one or two weeks during the Academic Year too.
What are we looking for when we choose our English homes?
Our homestay hosts come in all shapes and sizes, some with and some without children. Welcoming students into your home is a very rewarding experience for everyone involved. Our students chose homestay accommodation because it will give them personal experience of British culture, life in an English home, family traditions and the chance to practise their English in day to day situation. They will want to join in with your family life and share their culture with you too.
Why do people decide to host foreign students?
There are lots of benefits when you welcome students into your home. If you have a family, hosting a student is a very valuable learning experience for your children as well as for the student. If your children have left home, hosting a student is great fun too!
If you are interested in becoming one of our families please complete the contact form below and then Sarah, the Principal, will then contact you with more information and arrange a home visit to meet you and answer any of your questions.
