This is the way I have always felt about working at The Isca school of English. The school to me means learning English with family and friends! I hope you will come to join our family and make international friends for life!

Growing up in a language school was definitely different to the home life a lot of my friends had but I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world! Students would walk in to our home for a coffee and a chat – some even pop in unexpectedly now which is just wonderful!

My experiences living in a language school have given me a unique perspective on the way I welcome our students. Nowadays I may not be cooking breakfast and Christmas dinner as my grandparents and parents did but you can be sure I will do my best to help you make international friends and have a wonderful experience that you will remember for life.

  • What is my favourite moment of the day?

There are so many things but truthfully my favourite moment of the day is at the start of the day when I walk around the classrooms and hear a gentle hum of people talking and know everyone is settling in and getting ready for a wonderful time.

  • What would I change?

The weather! If I could guarantee sunshine all summer that would be fantastic! Each year looking at how to improve the school, what students have liked and disliked. I think about which sports and activities they enjoy doing and try to find new things.   I would say I change a little each year to make our summer programme better for our students and I am sure I will carry on doing that until I retire!
